The Permanent Secretary of the Treasury and Budget Department, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Mr. Adamu Ibrahim Wanki, has called on all staff to remain dedicated and uphold strict adherence to financial regulations and public service guidelines in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Wanki made this appeal during a courtesy visit by the Managing Director of Leverage Integrated Business Consult, Mr. Salawu Zubairu, to his office at Area 11, Garki I District, Abuja.
Emphasizing the importance of professional conduct, the Permanent Secretary stated that the welfare of public resources is best safeguarded when financial guidelines are strictly followed. He noted that any deviation from these principles undermines public trust and hampers the efficient delivery of services.
“Adherence to financial rules ensures confidence and integrity in the system. Professionals must be able to stand by their decisions both during service and after retirement,” Wanki said.
He highlighted the FCTA’s ongoing commitment to infrastructural development across the territory and urged staff to fully embrace sound financial management, which is crucial to accelerating growth and sustaining public trust in government institutions.
Mr. Wanki further reiterated the importance of supporting the vision of the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, and the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that the visible transformation of Abuja has been possible due to disciplined financial management under the current administration.
In his remarks, Mr. Salawu Zubairu, Managing Director of Leverage Integrated Business Consult, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and pledged his readiness to collaborate with the FCTA. He also commended Minister Wike’s leadership for the strides made in infrastructural development, positioning Abuja as a world-class city.
