Abuja — Over 500 vulnerable Nigerians, including widows, orphans, and others in need, were treated to a special Easter outreach organized by an NGO in Abuja. The event aimed to ease the impact of the current economic hardship.
Titled “Easter Giving to the Widows and Orphans”, the outreach was held in collaboration with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Overcomers Chapel in Gwarimpa, Abuja.
The NGO distributed essential food items such as rice, yam, garri, macaroni, spaghetti, semovita, beverages, and condiments.

In her speech, Adefunke Adekunle, CEO of the NGO, emphasized that Easter represents hope and renewal. She highlighted the need to support vulnerable members of society, especially widows and orphans who are struggling with harsh conditions.
Adekunle noted that this outreach, benefiting over 500 people, is part of a regular program. It aims to provide joy and relief during festive periods like Easter and Christmas.

“As we celebrate Easter, a time of hope, we are reminded of our duty to uplift the most vulnerable among us,” she said.
