FCTA Reaffirms Support for Youth Empowerment and NYSC

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering young Nigerians. It also pledged stronger support for national service programmes and youth development in the capital.

Hon. Ango Abdullahi Suleman gave the assurance at the 2025 NYSC Annual Management Conference in Abuja. He is the Mandate Secretary of the FCTA Youth and Sports Development Secretariat and spoke on behalf of FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.

Suleman praised the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for promoting unity and building youth capacity.

He also congratulated Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu on his appointment as the 23rd NYSC Director General. Suleman commended Nafiu’s leadership since taking office.

“The FCTA will continue to provide an enabling environment and institutional support for youth initiatives and the NYSC scheme to thrive,” he said.

He also appreciated the commitment of delegates from across Nigeria. According to him, their dedication is vital to strengthening the NYSC.

Suleman stressed that the NYSC’s success relies on ongoing collaboration among stakeholders. He reaffirmed the administration’s readiness to fully support the scheme.
