The FCT Police Command has arrested two kidnap kingpins and recovered N7.4 million alongside rifles in a joint operation with the Nasarawa Police.
Spokesperson Josephine Adeh said the suspects, Masud Abdullahi of Karu and Muhammad Tahir of Jos, were tracked after the August 16 abduction of Henry Chichi from an estate in Karu. The victim was freed unharmed the next day.
Follow-up raids on the gang’s Karshi Forest hideout led to the arrest of a third suspect, 22-year-old Kabiru Jibril, and the recovery of AK-47 rifles, a G3 rifle, ammunition, and cash.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Ajao Adewale, assured that efforts are ongoing to capture other fleeing members.
