The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has lowered petrol prices at its Abuja outlets, providing motorists with significant relief.

Starting Friday, August 15, 2025, petrol is now available at N890 per litre, reduced from N900. The decrease, observed at the Federal Housing Authority station in Kubwa, represents the second price cut in 10 days following a previous reduction from N955 to N900.

Simultaneously, NNPC unveiled plans to deploy 4,000 compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered trucks to enhance nationwide fuel distribution and encourage cleaner transportation.

These dual initiatives demonstrate NNPC’s commitment to stabilizing the fuel market and alleviating consumer burden during economic difficulties.
