The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has listed the Silverbird Galleria in Abuja for sale, following unresolved debts linked to former senator and businessman, Ben Murray-Bruce.

The popular entertainment and shopping complex, located in the heart of the capital, is among a new batch of forfeited properties AMCON is offering to the public in a bid to recover non-performing loans.

According to sources, the Silverbird Group, owned by Murray-Bruce, has struggled to settle its long-standing financial obligations, prompting the debt recovery agency to take over and list the property.

The move is part of AMCON’s ongoing effort to go after high-profile debtors and recover billions owed to Nigerian taxpayers.

AMCON said proceeds from the sale would be used to offset the outstanding debt. As of the time of this report, the Silverbird Group has not made an official comment.
