FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has called for greater investment in agricultural education that combines theory with hands on enterprise, as well as improved access to finance and tools for young agripreneurs.
Speaking at the 2025 SAGE Nigeria National School Entrepreneurship Awards in Abuja, Dr. Mahmoud, represented by her aide Tpl. Michael Bawa, emphasized the importance of innovation hubs and practical support to drive youth-led agribusiness.
She praised Nigerian youths as present day innovators capable of transforming the agricultural sector using technology like AI, drones, and mobile apps.
The Minister also lauded SAGE Nigeria’s global achievements and urged stakeholders to back youth innovation with real action.
SAGE Nigeria Chairman, Mr. Agwu Amogu, echoed the call for nationwide entrepreneurship education and thanked President Tinubu for his support for youth development.
