OneBarrow International, in collaboration with Zagbayi Pharmacy and Hadikol Laboratories, has launched an innovative health outreach programme aimed at bridging the gap in healthcare access.

The initiative, themed “Health for All: Closing the Gap,” provided free medical services to over 300 residents, significantly improving health outcomes and stimulating local economic growth.

The outreach program has yielded remarkable results. Reports indicate that:75% of participants gained a better understanding of their health conditions.

‘60% reported improved management of chronic illnesses.’

According to the organization, the emergency room visits at Wuse General Hospital dropped by 20%, while patient wait times saw a 2% reduction, with projections indicating an 8% decrease within a week.

In addition to its medical benefits, the initiative boosted local businesses. Zagbayi Pharmacy experienced a 30% increase in revenue in the first week, attributed to heightened foot traffic and continued customer engagement.

Speaking on the program’s impact, Yemi Ajao, CEO of OneBarrow International, emphasized the dual benefits of the outreach.

“Our initiative is not just about healthcare; it revitalizes local economies. Zagbayi Pharmacy’s growth showcases how health programs can also drive business success while enhancing community well-being.”

Dr. Abudyazid Bashir Nurudeen Rabiu, Chief Medical Director of iDoctorAccess, praised the initiative’s long-term medical benefits.

“This outreach not only provides immediate care but also establishes a foundation for sustained health management, which is crucial for community health sustainability.”

To sustain the program’s impact, Hadikol Laboratories introduced an exclusive 50% discount on diagnostic tests for first-time users who registered during the event.

For many participants, the program has been life-changing. Mohammed Bello, a beneficiary, shared his relief.

“This program is a lifeline. It’s not just about today’s free check-up but also about the affordable follow-ups that Hadikol offers, ensuring we stay healthy.”

This initiative aims to encourage ongoing health monitoring and engagement with healthcare services.

Yemi Ajao also called for more partnerships to expand the outreach.

“We are actively seeking collaboration with local pharmacies and laboratories. Our model pairs partners within a 5km radius to maximize community coverage, and demand is already overwhelming.
