FCTA To Reward Excellence Performance In Schools

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) will continue to acknowledge and reward superlative performance in schools across the Territory to encourage hardwork.

FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, said this during the Recognition and Appreciation of FCT Students Academic and Sports Accomplishments Ceremony organized by the FCT Education Secretariat.

Wike said the Administration is committed to recognizing and appreciating the multifaceted talents of FCT Students to reflect a broader vision for a well-rounded and empowered youth population.

The Minister commended the initiative and applauded the academic and sports achievements of Students in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) schools.

The Minister also lauded the students for their remarkable achievements in academics and sports.

According to him, “this celebration not only acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the students but also underscores the importance of fostering a holistic educational experience”.

The Minister, who was represented at the ceremony by the Secretary for Education, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, highlighted their outstanding academic performance; emphasizing the significance of intellectual growth as a cornerstone for societal progress.

Wike said the celebration is serving as a platform to honor the academic excellence of these students, motivating them to strive for even greater heights.

He added that beyond the realm of academics, the ceremony is also to showcase the various sporting achievements of FCT Students; adding that, FCT recognizes the role of sports in holistic development.

Speaking earlier, the representative of the Secretary for Education, who is the Director /Secretary, FCT Secondary Education Board, Dr. Sani Mohamed Ladan, said the ceremony is organized to showcase hardwork values to encourage excellence in both academics and sports.
