A High Court in Abuja has ordered all parties involved in the ownership tussle over River Park Estate to maintain the status quo until the case is resolved.

Justice S.U. Bature gave the directive after Jonah Capital Nigeria Limited raised concerns that land documents including the Right of Occupancy and Certificate of Occupancy were being processed despite the ongoing dispute.

The court warned that no construction, occupation, or further documentation should take place on the property until the matter is fully heard. The case was adjourned to October 27.

The judge also granted a request to correct the name of the first defendant from “Dunamis International Christian Centre” to the “Registered Trustees of Dunamis International Church.”

Counsel for the church, Felix Tyokase, said Dunamis has not trespassed on the land and is not involved in any internal conflict within Jonah Capital.

The ruling aims to prevent interference while the court determines the rightful owner of the estate.
