The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has promised to ensure justice for a 14-year-old girl allegedly raped by a cleric in Gwagwalada.
Mandate Secretary of the Women Affairs Secretariat, Dr. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, said the case will be pursued to its conclusion, stressing that the FCT will not protect any paedophile.
The suspect, Prophet Amos Isah of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, is currently in police custody.
Dr. Benjamins-Laniyi said her office is working with security agencies and religious leaders to ensure justice and has also reached out to the victim’s family to offer support. She added that protecting adolescent girls remains a top priority for the administration.
