The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged Abuja-based property developer Rebecca Godwin-Isaac, her husband Isaac Yusuf, and others to court over an alleged ₦800 million land fraud.

They are accused of forgery, money laundering, and selling land illegally in the Guzape and Katampe areas of Abuja.

While the couple was granted bail, a co-defendant, Richard John, was ordered to remain in Kuje Prison.

The EFCC plans to call 13 witnesses when the trial continues on July 21.

Meanwhile, an investigation by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has linked the suspects to tampered land records, which has led to public complaints and a court order for the forfeiture of some disputed plots.
