
The Federal Capital Territory Administration has commended the Centre for School Health, Education and Environmental Hygiene (CSHEEH) for advancing health education among students in Abuja.
FCT Education Mandate Secretary, Dr. Danlami Hayyo, praised the NGO during its 10th anniversary celebration, acknowledging its impact in promoting hygiene and WASH practices in schools. He called for stronger partnerships between NGOs and public institutions to boost education and health efforts.
CSHEEH Executive Director, Dr. Folashade Momoh, highlighted the group’s challenges, especially funding, but reaffirmed its commitment to supporting underprivileged students with hygiene kits and awareness campaigns.
Board Chairperson Grace Emoefe described the journey as one driven by sacrifice and faith. A key highlight of the event was the launch of a legacy project to renovate WASH facilities in schools across all six FCT area councils.
