President Bola Tinubu will commission landmark projects across the Federal Capital Territory starting June 10, 2025, to mark his second year in office, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announced Wednesday.
The commissioning begins after Salah holidays with the rehabilitated International Conference Centre. Tinubu will personally commission 10 signature projects including roads, public buildings, and infrastructure, while Vice President Kashim Shettima will handle three projects, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio and House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas will each commission two projects.
In total, 17 projects will be commissioned across Abuja and satellite towns. Wike praised the President’s support for the Renewed Hope Agenda and thanked the legislature for timely budget approvals that enabled the FCT’s achievements.
The Minister confirmed that Julius Berger Nigeria will manage the International Conference Centre under strict supervision to maintain international standards, marking a departure from previous asset management practices.
Wike extended Salah greetings to FCT residents and expressed confidence in maintaining security during the celebrations.
