The Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) has announced a major traffic diversion starting Wednesday, May 7, 2025, due to the construction of an interchange bridge on the Inner Southern Expressway (ISEX), stretching from the Goodluck Jonathan Expressway to Galadimawa.
The diversion affects Herbert Macauley Way—from just after the Abuja International Conference Centre to near the National Defence College—and extends to the Herbert Macauley Way/Moshood Abiola Road intersection.
Traffic will be rerouted through Zakaria Maimalari Street, passing the AEPB CBD office, Chelsea Hotel, and Access Bank PLC, then on to Moshood Abiola Road, ending at the Area 1 T-junction near AICC.
Access to properties remains open. Enforcement will be handled by DRTS, the Police, and FRSC. FCDA urges the public to cooperate and apologizes for any inconvenience.
