The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 23 suspected criminals in a fresh raid targeting crime-prone areas across Abuja.

The operation, which focused on the Pipeline Market axis in Kubwa, was aimed at flushing out drug peddlers and other criminals linked to rising insecurity in the area.

Security sources said the arrests followed several complaints from residents about frequent thefts and gang attacks on pedestrians and motorists.

During the raid, police recovered various incriminating items believed to be linked to criminal activities.

The command stated that the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and curb violent crimes in the capital.

All suspects are currently undergoing screening. Authorities have assured that those found innocent will be released, while those culpable will face prosecution.
