The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has ordered the immediate closure of an event centre in Abuja due to persistent noise pollution and violation of environmental regulations.

The decision was enforced by the FCTA’s Department of Development Control in collaboration with the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB), following multiple complaints from residents in the area.

Officials stated that the event centre had repeatedly disrupted the peace of the neighborhood, operating late into the night and ignoring previous warnings issued by the authorities.

“The FCTA will not tolerate any activity that compromises the well-being and peace of residents. Noise pollution is a serious concern, and we are committed to ensuring strict compliance with environmental laws,” an official from the enforcement team stated.

The administration has urged all business owners, especially operators of recreational facilities, to adhere to approved guidelines or risk similar sanctions.
