The Federal Road Safety Corps has issued a strong warning to motorists in Abuja to drive responsibly during the upcoming Easter celebration or face consequences.
FRSC officials cautioned Abuja drivers against common traffic violations including speeding, dangerous overtaking, and driving against traffic on the capital city’s roads.
The FRSC emphasized that the Easter holiday should remain safe for all residents and visitors to the Federal Capital Territory.
To maintain order on Abuja’s highways and streets, FRSC personnel will be strategically positioned throughout the city to control traffic flow, respond to emergencies, and arrest traffic offenders.
Officials will particularly target overloaded vehicles and those driving without valid licenses within the FCT.
“We are prioritizing safety in Abuja this Easter with zero tolerance for reckless driving,” an FRSC spokesperson stated. “Motorists must obey traffic rules and cooperate with our officers to ensure a smooth and accident-free celebration in the capital.”
The increased FRSC presence across Abuja demonstrates their commitment to protecting lives during the busy holiday period in the nation’s capital.
