A forecast by the Nigeria Meteorological Agency, NIMET, anticipates isolated thunderstorms over parts of Benue and Kogi tomorrow during the afternoon and evening hours.
Sunny skies are, however, expected over the North Central region.
On Wednesday, sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected over the North Central region with slim chances of thunderstorms over parts of Kogi and Benue states during the afternoon and evening hours.
Meanwhile, NiMET has cautioned that the onset of rainfall is usually characterized with violent and destructive winds.
In a Press Statement, the Ag. Director-General of the FCT Emergency Management Department, FEMD, Engr. Abdulrahman Mohammed, has appealed to residents to heed to the early warning and take necessary precautions.
Mohammed urged residents residing along to water track to relocate before the onset of the rains.
He called for the clearing of blocked drains and storm
water ways to ensure free flow of water.
