Nigeria is set to establish its pioneering Artificial Intelligence Development Centre in Abuja by the Shamsudeen Usman Foundation.
The centre, dedicated to advancing skills, innovation, and economic development through AI, will be formally launched on September 26, alongside the foundation’s official inauguration.
The Foundation aims to build a collaborative platform that empowers individuals, corporates, researchers and students to explore and develop advanced Al and technological solutions for real-world challenges.
Speaking at the prelaunch press conference in Abuja, Sadiq Usman, chairman of the Foundation’s planning committee, told newsmen that the main focus of the centre will be skills development, innovation and economic development.
Usman said the Foundation was an honour to the impactful life of the former minister and to leave a legacy for future generation, founded by his children.
