The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service on Wednesday said a fire broke out at two different locations in the Territory within 24 hours.

Adebayo said the first incident started at 1:16 am inside the shops of the Karimo market area of the FCT.
He explained that the fire burnt down everything in the market, but added that no life was lost.
He said the cause of the fire was still being investigated.
According to him, a popular shopping mall, IC World Emporia, in the Gwarinpa area was gutted by fire around 3:15 am.
He said, “The incident turned out at 1:16 am on Wednesday 17:01:2024 inside the main market shops of Karimo market.
“The fire burnt down everything completely but no life lost. While the cause of the fire is under investigation.
FCT Fire Service, Games Village, Asokoro, NJI & Gwarimpa fire stations were among stations that responded.
“Also, at 17: 01:2024 at around 3:15am fire broke out at IC world supermarket Gwarinpa.”
“All upper floor got burnt completely in the building that is made up of two floors and destroyed all items such as perfumes, TV set (plasma), electrical, foodstuffs, materials, etc,” he added.
