The FCT Secondary Education Board has commissioned its 14th and 15th Chinese Corners at Government Secondary Schools in Tudun-Wada and Nyanya, reinforcing educational and cultural ties with China.
Leadership and Bilateral Ties Praised
Mandate Secretary for Education, Dr Danlami Hayyo, described the milestone as proof of Minister Nyesom Wike’s transformative leadership and the deepening Nigeria–China friendship. He highlighted that the FCT leads the country with 15 Chinese Corners and has integrated Mandarin into the Senior Secondary curriculum.
China Commits to Continued Partnership
Mr Yang Jianxing, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, applauded the 22-year collaboration with the FCT and expressed optimism that the centres will foster stronger mutual understanding.
Award of Recognition
The ceremony concluded with the formal unveiling of the new centers and a recognition award presented to Jianxing by Government Secondary School, Nyanya.
