Abuja Resident Doctors Suspend Strike

Resident doctors in Abuja have suspended their indefinite strike, a move that will ease pressure on hospitals and bring relief to patients.

The doctors had gone on strike earlier in the week over unpaid allowances, poor facilities, and staff shortages. After talks with authorities, they agreed to return to work but warned they could resume the action if promises are not kept.

Leaders of the group said the decision was taken in the interest of the public, urging the government to act quickly on its commitments to avoid another breakdown in services.
