A trailer accident at Charly Boy Junction on Monday morning triggered a massive traffic jam, stranding commuters for hours across parts of Abuja. The trailer flipped over while manoeuvring the busy intersection, blocking key sections of the road and halting traffic from Dutse Expressway to Galadimawa.
The snarl-up, stretching several kilometres, left drivers and passengers stuck as traffic officers scrambled to manage the chaos. Witnesses described the scene as a mess, with workers and schoolchildren trapped on the roads for hours.
As of press time, emergency crews and traffic officials were still clearing the wreckage to restore normal flow. No deaths have been reported. Authorities warned that removing the congestion could take a while due to heavy traffic at the junction during rush hour.
