NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has been lauded for leading efforts against illegal mining and protecting national assets.
At the National Stakeholders and Civil Society Summit in Abuja, represented by ACC Attah John Onoja, Audi stressed that grassroots intelligence and community participation are key to defeating illegal mining.
Under his watch, the Corps has shut illegal sites, secured mineral resources, and boosted revenue through the Mining Marshals, a unit created during his tenure.
Stakeholders urged stronger inter-agency and community cooperation, praising Audi for reforms that have repositioned the NSCDC as a key player in national security and economic stability.
