Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have urged Minister Nyesom Wike to complete the abandoned Life Camp–Mbora road, a project stalled for over a decade.

The road, awarded during the Goodluck Jonathan administration to Sammya Nigeria Ltd., was designed to link Life Camp through CITEC to Mbora and Nile University. Although parts of the work were executed, funding delays and inflation left the project incomplete.

Sammya’s Managing Director, Stephen Adigun, said the job is 86.33 percent complete under the original plan but only 30.03 percent when measured against a revised ₦26.7 billion budget.

Residents lament that the stalled project has worsened traffic on the Jabi–Lugbe/Umar Musa Yar’Adua Expressway and disrupted access to Idu and Nizamiye Hospital. They appealed to Wike to intervene in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
