After over a decade of delays, the Abuja Centenary City project is back, with Julius Berger Nigeria PLC signed to deliver ₦750 billion worth of infrastructure.
Centenary City PLC boss Michael Odenigwe said the firm will kick off Phase 1, including a 4.3km access road and key works for The Grove Residences, Safari Park Residences, and Ridge Villas.
Dar Al-Handasah Consultants, designers of the master plan, are back on board for detailed engineering.
Launched in 2014 as Nigeria’s answer to Dubai, the $18.5bn project stalled under political bottlenecks. Now, with federal backing from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa, work is restarting to attract investment and reshape Abuja’s skyline.
