The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has opened registration for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
Director of the Board, Alhaji Kadiri Edah, said applicants must deposit a minimum of ₦8.5 million via bank draft from any commercial bank, payable to the board. He emphasized that cash payments would not be accepted and registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Edah added that bank drafts and international passports must be submitted at any of the six area councils for documentation. He also advised depositors from previous hajj exercises to confirm their interest before the deadline.
The Board, he assured, has introduced new strategies to improve services and urged intending pilgrims to deal directly with the Board, warning against third parties.
