FCT Board Unveils ₦8.24m Fare for 2026 Hajj

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, has announced the official fare for the 2026 Hajj exercise. They have pegged the cost at ₦8,244,813.67.

Director of the Board, Mallam Kadiri Edah, made the disclosure in Abuja. He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payment before December 2025. This is the deadline set by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). He emphasized that failure to meet the deadline would disqualify pilgrims from participating in the holy journey.

Mallam Edah explained that intending pilgrims start with an initial deposit. They must ensure that the full fare is paid before the deadline to secure a seat. He also stressed that payments must be made strictly via bank drafts. The Board will not accept cash transactions.

He mentioned that early payment will assist the Board in preparing a comprehensive list of pilgrims. It will enable the Board to remit funds to NAHCON on schedule. It will also allow the Board to make timely arrangements for quality accommodation, feeding, and transportation in Saudi Arabia. These arrangements will ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience.

The Director further appealed to those who have paid above the approved Hajj fare. They should forward their bank account details to the Board for refunds. He clarified that all refunds will be made directly into pilgrims’ bank accounts.
