The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy has teamed up with the National Sports Commission to kick off plans for a new Arts, Culture, Creative, Tourism, and Sports Innovation Hub at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa called it a “total game-changer” for Nigeria’s creative and sports scenes, tying it to President Bola Tinubu’s plan to create jobs and use culture and sports to tackle insecurity. NSC boss Mallam Shehu Dikko promised to transform the stadium into a modern sports city that showcases Nigeria’s vibe.
The hub’s gonna have a National Museum of Arts and Culture, an Entertainment Arena, a Youth Creative and Entrepreneurship Centre, Eco-Villas, a Family Park, Cultural Lounges, and a Sports Heritage Pavilion.
Running as a Public-Private Partnership, this project’s all about bringing agencies together, pulling in cash, and putting Nigeria’s culture and sports on the world map.
