The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) is packing up and moving to a new permanent office at House 12, Plot 103/104, Monrovia Street, Wuse 2, right across from Bon Hotel in Abuja, starting this Friday, September 5, 2025.
Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, the Fund’s communications chief, promised there’d be no hiccups in services during the switch. “This move’s all about making our loans easier to get and keeping in better touch with everyone involved,” she said.
NELFUND’s got a bone to pick with universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education dragging their feet on verifying student details, which is slowing down loan payouts. They’re pushing these schools to step it up so more students can tap into the program.
Kicked off in 2023 by President Bola Tinubu, NELFUND’s goal is to hand out interest-free loans to make sure no Nigerian student misses out on higher education because of cash problems. The new Abuja office will be the main hub for running things and talking to schools and students across the country. Contact info hasn’t changed, but send all questions and visits to the new spot.
