FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike launched the 5.4km Karu Road reconstruction from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction on Wednesday, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to uplift Abuja and its satellite towns.
Wike, referencing his prior Karu Water Supply Project commitment, said, “Karu, your time has come.” The project includes nearby roads and solar-powered streetlights to boost businesses and living standards.
Praising Senator Philip Aduda and AMAC Chairman Christopher Maikalangu, Wike urged residents to protect the project, saying, “Its success is your prosperity.”
FCT Minister of State Dr. Mariya Mahmoud lauded Tinubu’s vision and Wike’s leadership. The Satellite Towns Development Department’s Abdulkadir Zulkiflu noted that the project’s dual carriageway, culverts, and walkways will enhance Karu’s socio-economic growth.
