The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with foreign missions to promote culture, tourism, and social development.
Permanent Secretary of the Social Development Secretariat, Ms. Olowookere Olubunmi, stated this while receiving Uganda’s Head of Mission, Ambassador Philip Ochen Odida, in Abuja. She said the Secretariat, which coordinates arts, culture, tourism, and welfare in the FCT, is open to collaborations that will benefit both countries.
Ambassador Odida pledged Uganda’s readiness to work with the FCT over the next five years, particularly in capacity building for arts and tourism. He stressed the need for African nations to unite in projecting the continent as a land of opportunity.
The engagement reflects the vision of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to use culture and creative industries as instruments of international cooperation, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
