Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has reiterated that youth empowerment remains central to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing young Nigerians as the nation’s most valuable asset for the future.
Speaking at the closing of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 NYSC orientation in Kubwa, she highlighted government initiatives in skills training, entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and job creation aimed at producing job creators rather than job seekers.
Mahmoud assured that the FCT Administration under Barr. Nyesom Wike will continue supporting NYSC objectives, while urging corps members to uphold unity, patriotism, discipline, and security consciousness during their service year.
FCT NYSC Coordinator, Mr. Samson Ateli, lauded the scheme’s role in national integration and advised corps members to accept their postings in good faith and take advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme for self-reliance.
The event reinforced the federal government’s commitment to preparing Nigerian youth for global competitiveness through national service.
