The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has denied claims that ₦5 billion contracts were awarded under Minister Nyesom Wike.
The Minister’s aide, Lere Olayinka, said Wike only cleared ₦10 billion in inherited debts between December 2023 and January 2024, and never approved fresh contracts.
He added that a sudden ₦15 billion bill later surfaced under “minor procurement,” with figures shifting down to ₦5 billion, raising doubts over legitimacy.
“Accountability is non-negotiable,” the Minister insisted.
