The FCT Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has screened 250 people for its 2025 trip to Israel and Jordan, set for August and September.
The Board’s Director, Gloria Dandam, spoke during a follow-up screening in Abuja, done in partnership with the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission. She said the exercise helps ensure only qualified candidates make the journey.
The first phase saw 140 people screened mostly privately funded while the recent round added 110 more. Only those who meet all the criteria will be invited to pay.
Dandam added that a visit to Israel confirmed the sites are safe, and that the list of approved pilgrims will soon be sent to NCPC for visa processing.
She confirmed the pilgrimage will only cover secure locations.
