The National Discourse Network for Excellence (NDNE) has praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for what it calls a bold and fast-paced infrastructure drive transforming Abuja.
In a statement by its Director of Strategy, Uche Nnadozie, the group noted that 17 major projects ranging from roads and bridges to modern bus terminals have been commissioned in just one month under Wike and Minister of State Mariya Mahmoud.
They also hailed the new Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre as a symbol of the capital’s modernization, and commended Wike’s hands-on style, often inspecting sites late into the night.
NDNE called for better management of the city’s transport systems to tackle rising crimes like “one chance” robberies and acknowledged Wike’s efforts in ending the recent teachers’ strike.
The group said Abuja is on the path to becoming a truly world-class city.
