Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has allegedly allocated 1,740 hectares of Abuja land valued at approximately $2.85 billion to his first son, Jordan Wike, triggering public concern over what many describe as a pattern of questionable land dealings.
Town planning officials who reviewed recent allocations say this latest parcel brings the total land allegedly granted to Wike’s two sons to around 3,822 hectares, with an estimated market value of $6.45 billion.
Critics have condemned the alleged land transfers as a gross abuse of public office, accusing the minister of turning the FCT into a personal estate for his family. Civil society groups are now demanding an urgent investigation into the transactions.
The FCT Administration has yet to issue a response regarding the allegations.
