
A 73-year-old Israeli national, Avi Warshaviak, has died after falling ill at the Corinthia Villa Hotel in the Garki area of Abuja.
According to reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the incident occurred on Saturday morning, when Warshaviak, who was staying at the hotel with his wife, suddenly developed health complications around 9:51 a.m.
He was rushed to the Asokoro General Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The hotel’s Chief Security Officer, Okorie Emmanuel, reported the case to the Garki Divisional Police Headquarters at approximately 11:23 a.m.
Police officers visited both the hotel and the hospital, documented the scene, and transferred the deceased’s body to the hospital mortuary for an autopsy.
Authorities are working to contact the Israeli Embassy in Nigeria for the necessary consular arrangements.
As of now, the exact cause of death remains unknown.
