The All Africa and Medical Wellness Expo (AMWE) Foundation says the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) can become a top medical tourism destination in Africa with the right support.
At a press briefing in Abuja, AMWE Chairman, Isah Usman, said the FCT already has world-class hospitals and skilled professionals but lacks proper government backing and visibility.
He urged the government to promote healthcare as both a public service and economic opportunity. The team also called for stronger health policies, better infrastructure, and improved partnerships with the private sector to boost Nigeria’s medical tourism potential.
