FG Says Abuja Is Safe
The Federal Government has downplayed the U.S. Embassy’s security warning, saying there is no real threat in Abuja.
The U.S. had advised its citizens to avoid military and government buildings in the city due to global security concerns.
But Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, said the alert was just a precaution and not based on any serious threat in the country.
He assured that Abuja is safe, and security agencies are working well to keep the city secure.
Idris encouraged residents to stay calm, go about their daily activities, and report anything suspicious to the authorities.
