FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, has urged residents especially the Muslim Ummah to embrace peace, obedience, and faith during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his Sallah message released on Thursday, June 5, Wike emphasized the values of sacrifice and unity, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
He commended the FCT Muslim community for fostering peaceful coexistence and contributing to the Territory’s growth.
The Minister also highlighted progress made under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in areas such as infrastructure, security, and social services.
Wike announced the forthcoming commissioning of key projects across sectors including healthcare, education, and transportation, in celebration of the President’s second year in office.
He assured residents of their safety, dismissing recent bomb scare rumours as a quarry blast misinterpreted as terrorism.
