The FCT Police Command has uncovered a child trafficking syndicate in Abuja, arresting a pastor and three other suspects involved in the crime.

The operation, carried out by police detectives, led to the rescue of several children allegedly trafficked for illegal adoption and exploitation.

According to FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence and weeks of surveillance. Among them is a pastor accused of using his religious platform to lure and traffic minors.

“The children have been taken into protective custody, and efforts are ongoing to locate their biological parents,” Adeh stated.

Investigations are still ongoing, and the suspects are expected to face charges once the probe is concluded.

The police have urged the public to report suspicious activity and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting vulnerable children from exploitation and abuse.
