Abuja, Nigeria – May 6, 2025
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has officially launched the Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), aiming to equip 70% of Nigerians with digital skills by 2027 and 95% by 2030.
Following a successful pilot phase that trained over 152,000 participants, the initiative will focus on six key skill areas:
- Basic device operation
- Data and information literacy
- Digital content creation
- Communication and collaboration
- Problem-solving with digital tools
- Online safety and responsibility
NITDA says the program is a strategic pillar of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to promote inclusive digital development in education, employment, and financial inclusion.
The agency emphasized that bridging the digital divide is essential for unlocking Nigeria’s full economic potential and preparing the workforce for the digital age.
