The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has commenced the general fumigation of the Hajj Camp in Bassan-Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The exercise marks the beginning of preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations in Madinah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The fumigation is being conducted at the FCT Hajj Transit Camp by officials from the Port Health Services of the Federal Ministry of Health, in advance of the arrival and camping of intending pilgrims.

During a visit to the facility, Director of the FCT Pilgrims Welfare Board, Kadiri Edah, reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to the health and safety of all pilgrims.

He assured that the FCTA will continue to maintain high standards at the camp and in Saudi Arabia, ensuring the wellbeing of every participant throughout the exercise.

“We will do everything possible to ensure that our pilgrims stay safe and healthy during the entire Hajj period,” Edah stated.
