A man identified as Yabagi has been arraigned before an Abuja court for allegedly defrauding a complainant of N7.2 million in a land scam involving forged documents.
The defendant is facing charges of cheating, criminal breach of trust, and forgery after he was accused of using fake land documents—including a certificate of occupancy and a site plan—to sell a plot located in the Guzape Two district of the Federal Capital Territory.
Yabagi pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court has adjourned the matter until June 19, 2025, for hearing.
