Heartbreak has gripped the Bugakwo community in Kuje Area Council, Abuja, following the tragic death of 11-year-old Joshua Samson, who lost his life after falling from a mango tree..
Eyewitnesses say the young boy had climbed the tree in search of mangoes but tragically lost his balance, crashing to the ground and hitting his head on a stone.
One of the boys with him reportedly ran home in tears to alert Joshua’s parents, who rushed to the scene and took him to the Kwaku Health Centre.
Unfortunately, he was confirmed dead on arrival, with medical personnel citing severe head trauma as the cause.
“He died from serious head injuries,” a resident, Danjuma, told our reporter.
The boy was laid to rest shortly after the incident, which was not reported to security authorities.
The tragedy has left the tight-knit Bugakwo community in mourning, with many struggling to come to terms with the loss of a young life.
