The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has apprehended six suspects in connection with an armed robbery incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, April 6, at F.J.K Hotel, located behind First Bank in the Mpape area of Abuja.
The incident was reported around 5:30 a.m. by Aliyu Mani, an escort driver attached to the Governor of Zamfara State. According to Mani, he was accosted by four armed men while on his way to a nearby mosque.
The suspects allegedly stole his Tecno Camon 30 Pro smartphone, valued at ₦370,000, as well as ₦43,000 in cash.
Following the report, officers from the Mpape Police Division launched a swift investigation, which led to the arrest of six suspects believed to be connected to the robbery.
Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing, as they believe additional individuals may be involved. Efforts are currently underway to identify and apprehend other accomplices.
The police have assured the public of their commitment to maintaining safety and bringing all culprits to justice.
