FCT Police Arrest Two Robbery Suspects After Gun Duel in Jahi

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested two armed robbery suspects following an attack at Royal Court Estate, Jahi II, Abuja.

The robbery took place around 3:20 a.m. on March 27. Police from the Mabushi Division responded quickly to a distress call.

On arrival, the robbers opened fire. A gun battle followed, but the suspects were overpowered and tried to escape with gunshot wounds.

The Police arrested two suspects: Rabiu Jubril and Ibrahim Isa, both from Tipper Garage, Jahi.

Items recovered from the suspects include:

  • Two locally made firearms
  • Three vehicles:
    • Black Toyota Matrix (Reg. No. NBS 348 CP)
    • Black Toyota Venza (Reg. No. ABJ 105 AV)
    • Grey Lexus IS350 (Reg. No. RSH 295 CB)
  • Electronic devices:
    • Two MacBook Pro laptops
    • One Lenovo laptop
    • One iPad
    • One PS4 gaming console
    • One Canon IP1224 camera
    • One drone camera

The FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Sunday. She said the suspects are in custody and will be charged to court after investigations.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ajao S. Adewale, advised residents to install tracking devices in their vehicles as a safety measure.
