The newly appointed Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, CP Ajao Saka Adewale, has committed to improving safety in Abuja through intelligence-driven policing and advanced technology.
During his inaugural meeting with senior police officers on Thursday, Adewale outlined a multi-faceted strategy designed to enhance security across the city. Key initiatives include:
- Technology Integration: The deployment of CCTV cameras, drones, and digital crime mapping tools will facilitate real-time monitoring and enable quicker responses to criminal activities.
- Establishment of a 24-Hour Command and Control Centre: This centre will enhance emergency response capabilities, ensuring that law enforcement can react swiftly to incidents.
- Collaboration with Communities: Adewale stressed the importance of stronger partnerships between the police, other security agencies, and local communities to improve intelligence gathering and crime prevention.
As the 33rd FCT Commissioner of Police, Adewale expressed his determination to make Abuja a safer city through proactive and technology-driven approaches to policing. He urged residents to remain vigilant and supportive in the collective effort to enhance public safety.
Residents can expect significant changes in policing methods and enhanced security measures as Adewale takes the helm in ensuring a safer environment for all.
